Both Alison and Saoirse are 1st year students in Mathematical Sciences at UCC. Having attended UCC Mathematics Enrichment classes on Saturdays for many years, Alison is now working as a volunteer tutor for the Junior Maths Enrichment programme on Saturdays. A former member of the Cork Youth Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra of Ireland with whom she has toured Ireland, Italy and Portugal, she is currently a member of the Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra and Cork Concert Orchestra with whom she regularly plays in Cork and around Ireland. She has performed with Katherine Jenkins and Jose Carreras as part of the Cork Symphony Orchestra.
